Sexual Harassment Training – Online
Sexual Harassment
The purpose of this online course is to educate both the health care provider and employees of the negative effects of sexual harassment in the workplace.
Negativity associated with sexual harassment can cause low employee morale, increased absenteeism, lower productivity, and decreased overall motivation of the workforce. The material covered in this training course will include a detailed description about each type of sexual harassment, legalities associated with it, different types of behavior displayed, and the various actions that can be taken to prevent and handle sexual harassment issues in the workplace.
Sexual harassment can be any form of unsolicited sexual actions that are so frequent or severe that it creates a hostile or offensive work environment. It causes the harassed to feel oppressed and feel uncomfortable at work. A harasser can be the employee’s supervisor, a co-worker, or even a client or customer. Sexual harassment training is a must-have tool to fight, and ultimately end, sexual harassment in the workforce. Training is necessary so employees know what is considered appropriate and what crosses the line into sexual harassment. Knowledge is power, so all employees need to be informed as to what sexual harassment is and the power to report situations if they arise.
At the end of this training course the medical professional will be able to:
- Define sexual harassment
- Describe employee and employer responsibilities in preventing and managing sexual harassment issues
- List the steps to handle a complaint of sexual harassment
- Promote dialogue about sexual harassment issues in the workplace
