As you know everything is stored within the HIPAA Keeper™ system. We recommend each time you work within the system, hire or terminate employees, update your inventory list, or make any changes to your policies, that you generate a new package. At the very least generate a new package at the end of every quarter. This demonstrates your on-going compliance efforts in the event any documentation is requested.
To generate a package:
· Log-in and scroll down, on the left you will see "Download Documents".
· Once you click on this tab, on the right, scroll down and click on “+Generate New Package”. This may take a couple of minutes.
· Once the package has been generated, you may download a copy to your local drive. This will create a “Zip” file. Simply “extract” all files.
You do not need to download the package each time you generate the package unless you make changes to your policies and need to share them with your employees.
If you need only specific policies, or need to download your Risk Management plan, you may go directly to that document and download it individually.
